PREVOCATIONAL SERVICES

Champlain Valley Industries (CVI) provides a structured work environment for intellectually and developmentally disabled individuals. Prevocational services are focused on improving work skills that will allow individuals to transition to competitive employment in the local community. These services are provided in an industrial setting, supported by contract work obtained from local and state contracts.

 

Staff assist individuals in improving their work skills in the following areas: following directions, attending to task, task completion and quality control, problem solving, workplace safety, how to relate to co-workers/supervisors and handling productivity demands in the work place.

 

ELIGIBILITY

Clinton County residents with a Developmental Disability as defined by OPWDD. Cost: None to Medicaid eligible individuals.
